Frequently asked questions
During the call we will talk about why you’re seeking therapy and what you hope to achieve. I will ask about your past therapy experiences to get a sense of what’s been helpful for you. This is also a great time to ask any questions you might have, so you can feel relaxed and informed.
I offer in-person sessions in Los Angeles and virtual sessions for anyone in California.
While I do not bill insurance direct, I am happy to provide you with a super-bill (detailed receipt that can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement.) I encourage you to reach out to your insurance provider regarding out of network (OON) coverage and reimbursement rates as everyone’s policy is different. I also partner with Thrizer, a service that helps you get reimbursed more easily for out-of-network sessions.
A standard session is 50 minutes and is usually held on a weekly basis.
Because I believe therapy should be accessible, I reserve a portion of my practice for sliding scale sessions. If you would like to be considered, I’d be happy to discuss availability.
Your appointment time is reserved especially for you, so if you need to cancel or reschedule, please give at least 24 hours’ notice; sessions missed or changed with less notice may be charged the full fee.
